Akhilesh Kandwal is currently working as a Project Associate in Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Roorkee, under the supervision of Dr. Partha Pratim Roy (IITR). He is mainly interested in the areas of deep learning, natural language processing, and brain-computer interfaces.

Previously, he worked as a Project Associate at the CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO), Chandigarh and also gained experience as a Software Development Trainee at Sysnet Global Technologies Pvt Ltd, New Delhi. He holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Graphic Era Deemed to be University (GEU), Dehradun.
